Disclosed are a method and apparatus for learning a user interest validity period of a content recommendation system. A user interest validity period learning method according to an embodiment of the present invention is a method for learning a user interest validity period of a content recommendation system, comprising: a time axis for inputting a user interest and an effective period of the interest in the content recommendation system providing a two-dimensional interface; disposing an interest box in which an effective period for each of the user''s interests is set on the two-dimensional interface based on the user''s input; and learning an effective period for recommending content for each of the user''s interests based on the interest corresponding to the arranged interest box and the validity period.
