A cloud computing-based method for smart link selection in an SD-WAN network, which belongs to the technical field of networks. The method is applied to a client device and comprises: step S10, establishing a plurality of communication links between a client device and a plurality of edge routers deployed in a cloud environment; step S20, detecting the network conditions of the communication links; step S30, according to the detected network conditions, evaluating the levels of quality of the links; step S40, according to the levels of quality of the links, determining a link having the highest level of quality among the links as a main link, and determining the others as standby links; and step S50, setting the routing of the client device according to the determined main link and standby links. By means of periodic active detection, the present invention promptly evaluates the level of quality of a network, intelligently selects a relatively optimal link for the network, and fully considers the actual usage needs of users.
