There is provided mechanisms for handling routing rules for a 5G RG. A method is performed by a PCF node. The method comprises requesting, upon having obtained a trigger to send a routing rule to a 5G RG for a PDU session and when the routing rule has an application identifier, a PFD only as a 3-tuple for the routing rule from a NEF node. The method comprises modifying, upon having obtained the PFD from the NEF node, the routing rule by replacing the application identifier with the PFD only as a 3-tuple. The method comprises providing the routing rule as modified towards the 5G RG.
