Identification switch (100) to produce an identification bite, with the identification switch (100) arranged in an integrated circuit, indicating:A first circuit (C1) to generate a first output signal (OUT), the first output signal (OUT) being based on random parametric variations in the first circuit (C1),A second circuit (C2) for generating a second output signal (OU n), the second output signal (OU n) being based on random parametric variations in the second circuit (C2),A third circuit (C3), where the third circuit (C3) can be operated in an amplifier mode and in a locking mode,a switch (CS), where the switch (CS) is designed to switch between the amplifier mode and the third circuit locking mode (C3),-where the third circuit (C3) is so designed to generate a first potential on a first node (NO1) on the basis of the first output signal (OUT) and to generate a second potential on a second node (NO2) on the basis of the second output signal (OUT) a gradual transition of the first potential and the second potential in each stable condition by strengthening the differential value (Vd) between the first output signal (OUT) and the second output signal (OUT) in the amplifier mode,and trained in locking mode to convert this enhanced differential value into a digital signal (VDD, GND) by generating a first latch potential (VDD or GND) on the first node (NO1) and a second latch potential (GND or VDD) on the second node (NO2) on the basis of the first stable conditions.
