DISAMBIGUATION FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF LEXICAL ITEMS

The invention relates to the field of the classification of lexical items. More specifically, it relates to the disambiguation of the classification of lexical items that may belong to different classes. To this effect, the invention discloses the creation and the use of a tree of lexical items, wherein each node comprises a lexical item, and a number of classification into semantic classes. During the creation of the tree, when a user classifies a lexical item in a class, it increments the corresponding number of classification in the node comprising this lexical item, but also in each parent node.
