PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test apparatus and a test method capable of simulating an erosion effect and interfacial shear in mounting a suction bucket foundation. The device comprises a bucket erosion device, a pressure flow control controller, a load and shear system, a sensor system, a data acquisition and control system. The test equipment may be used to analyze the non-uniform infiltration flow field characteristics, erosion characteristics of the soil body in the bucket in the process of penetrating the suction bucket foundation to different depths under negative pressure, with sensors and video cameras. The test process is recorded and CT scans are performed on the eroded soil body under the original stress conditions to analyze changes in internal voids. Furthermore, the repeated shearing process of the soil body and the steel bucket can be simulated by the repeated shearing device to analyze the repeated shearing characteristics of the bucket-soil interface after erosion.
