In order to simplify the change-over of a welding torch on a welding robot, a welding torch system is provided having a change-over coupling (2a) and a welding torch (2b) which can be detached from one another. A first adjusting ring (25a) is resiliently mounted on the change-over coupling (2a) and a first adjusting element (32a) is provided on the change-over coupling. A second adjusting ring (25b) and a second adjusting element (32b) are provided on the welding torch (2b). When the welding torch (2b) is detached from the change-over coupling (2a), the first adjusting ring (25a) is axially spaced apart from the first coupling end such that, when the welding torch (2b) is connected to the change-over coupling (2a), the first adjusting element (32a) and the second adjusting element (32b) reach an engaged state in order to align the welding torch (2b) relative to the change-over coupling (2a) prior to welding torch coupling parts (16a, 16b) interacting on the welding torch (2b) and on the change-over coupling (2a).
