Agent form containing structured solid solution framework of poorly soluble drug and method for its manufacture

Since the dissolution rate and absorption rate of the drug are limited by solubility, it is not possible to take the drug into the blood stream in a high proportion by ingesting the dosage form containing the water-soluble drug particles.Accordingly, there is disclosed herein a pharmaceutical form comprising an elongated three-dimensional structural framework of poorly soluble drugs dissolved in an excipient matrix comprising at least a water-soluble polymer carrier and an amphiphilic polymer.When immersed in the physiological fluid, the fluid weaves and interdiffuses the structural framework, and the amphiphilic polymer is self assembled as micelles, thereby enhancing the drug solubility.As a result, the framework is eroded and rapidly releases the drug molecules, thus enhancing the drug concentration in the fluid and the rate of drug delivery to the blood stream.
