SHAPING SOUND RESPONSIVE TO SPEAKER ORIENTATION

We describe a method for adjusting a sound output of a playback device based on an orientation of the playback device, the method comprising: when the playback device has a first particular orientation, causing at least one speaker of the playback device to output one of: a first range of frequencies of an audio data stream; and a first equalization setting; and when the playback device has a second particular orientation, causing at least one speaker of the playback device to output one of: a second range of frequencies of the audio data stream; and a second equalization setting.
