Fastening device (2) for fastening an office technology device (1) to a panel element (3), preferably an item of furniture, with a base body (4) which forms a first contact surface (4a) and with an adjusting device (5), - the adjusting device (5 ) has a second contact surface (4b) opposite the first contact surface (4a),- a distance (D) being formed between the first contact surface (4a) and the opposite second contact surface (4b),- the plate element (3) between the contact surfaces (4a, 4b) can be accommodated, - the distance (D) of the second contact surface (4b) relative to the first contact surface (4a) being adjustable via the adjustment device (5), - the adjustment device (5) having a clamping device (52 ) having a clamping surface (53), wherein the clamping surface (53) relative to the second contact surface (4b) in the direction of the plate element (3) for applying a clamping force is adjustable and the plate element (3) can be clamped between the first contact surface (4a) and the clamping surface (53) by means of the clamping force, the adjusting device (5) having a guide body (54) and a contact device (55) which can be displaced relative to the guide body (54), wherein the second contact surface (4b) is formed on a surface of the contact device (55) facing the plate element (3) and wherein the distance (D) between the first and second contact surface ( 4a, 4b), the clamping device (52) having an eccentric roller (521) with a circular cross-section and an eccentric roller surface (523) which forms the clamping surface (53), the eccentric roller (521) being in the region of the second contact surface (4b ) is rotatably mounted on the contact device (55) about an eccentric axis of rotation (524) and, characterized in that the eccentric roller surface (523) has at least one flattened Ob surface portion (526).
