Disclosed are devices for use with uterine tamponade balloon catheter devices such as Bakri postpartum hemorrhagic balloon.The device includes a hub at its proximal end and includes a stylet comprising a non traumatic tip at its distal end.The device is removably coupled to a tamponade decentration catheter device to assist in the insertion and positioning of a tamponade decentration catheter into the uterine cavity; It is configured to allow the balloon to function as intended for control and management of postpartum hemorrhage and uterine bleeding.The tamponade debris catheter includes echo source elements that assist in visualization by ultrasound during insertion and use.A method of using the device is also disclosed.
