The invention relates to a gas and steam turbine power plant having a gas turbine and a heat recovery steam generator (2) which is connected to the gas turbine by an incident-flow hood (3), in order to use the heat contained in the expanded flue gases of the gas turbine for vapor generation. Multiple exhaust gas lines (6a, 6b, 6c) are connected to the incident-flow hood (3), which open into a common bypass flue (4) above the incident-flow hood (3), and blocking means are provided in the incident-flow hood (3) in order to interrupt a flue gas stream from the gas turbine to the heat recovery steam generator (2) in a closed state and to allow the same in an open state. The invention further relates to a method for retrofitting a gas and steam turbine power plant.
