The invention relates to a polymer composite material (1) comprising at least one thermoplastic matrix polymer (2) and at least one reinforcement fiber (3), the reinforcement fiber (3) comprising at least one polymer material, characterized in that the reinforcement fiber (3) comprises at least one crosslinked polymer material includes; the reinforcing fiber (3) has an average fiber length of 1 to 10 mm; and the reinforcing fiber (3) has an average fiber diameter of 10 to 20 µm.
