A precision diagnostic device (7) for a machine tool (1) diagnoses an accuracy of the machine tool (1). The machine tool (1) includes a change detection unit (4, 5),measuring an amount of change. The amount of change changes due to an installation environment and an operating movement. The Accuracy Diagnostic Device (7) comprises an Amendment Reference Recording Unit (103),which includes a reference value (104) of the amending amount. The accuracy diagnostic device (7) receives the change measured by the change detection unit (4, 5). The accuracy diagnostic device (7) diagnoses a change in the accuracy of the machine tool based on a first change index (106),derived from an amount of a change in the amount of the change per defined period and a second index of change (107),derived from the current change amount and the reference value (104).
