A system for testing a vehicle radar device is described. The system includes a free space polarization adapter (FSPA),who is trained to change a first polarisation state of electromagnetic waves from a radar test object (radar DUT) to a second polarisation state different from the first polarisation state; as well as a rear lighting device adapted to receive the electromagnetic waves with the second polarization state from the FSPA.
