Disclosed are titanium dioxide nanoparticles doped with a non-metal element and a method for preparing the same. The non-metallic element-doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles have a plurality of pores, titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) including titanium dioxide nanoparticles; and a non-metal element doped to the titanium dioxide and including at least one selected from the group consisting of nitrogen (N), sulfur (S) and carbon (C). The non-metallic element-doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles and their manufacturing method of the present invention are simple, economical, and environmentally friendly by using inexpensive and non-toxic egg white protein as a bio-template without using a solvent. In addition, the titanium dioxide nanoparticles doped with a non-metal element of the present invention have the effect of photocatalytic decomposition of organic materials under sunlight.
