A method and system for simulating a power network including large-scale power electronic devices. The method comprises: acquiring electrical parameters and connection relationships of devices in a main circuit of a power network, and relevant information of elements in a control circuit, and generating a topology description file (S1); dividing the power network into a plurality of independent sub-networks according to the topology description file (S2); establishing a main circuit equation of an electrical part and an equation of a non-electrical part of the current device or power electronic unit device, and an equation of the control circuit (S3); performing parallel calculations on an equation of each independent sub-network and the equation of the control circuit (S4); and when a simulation calculation termination instruction is received, performing a corresponding calculation on an electrical quantity according to an input request, and outputting a simulation calculation result (S6). The subnetting of a control circuit and a main circuit part in a power network is applied to the calculation of a calculation capacity of a module, and by means of power system simulation, a power system can be accurately simulated, thereby improving the simulation and calculation efficiency of a complex power network.
