An electronic device, according to various embodiments, comprises at least one communication module, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor may be configured to: detect insertion of a stylus pen into a housing of the electronic device or attachment of the stylus pen onto the housing; while the stylus pen is inserted into the housing of the electronic device or attached onto the housing, control the at least one communication module to perform at least one function; check removal of the stylus pen; and limit, on the basis of checking of the removal of the stylus pen, at least a part of the at least one function of the at least one communication module.
