The processing method includes: receiving a first indication; performing a first operation based on the first indication, where the first operation includes one of the following: if it is determined, based on the first indication, that measurement needs to be performed, performing measurement on a measurement object to obtain a measurement resu if it is determined, based on the first indication, that no measurement needs to be performed, skipping performing measurement is performed; determining a measurement object based on the first indication, and performing measurement on the measurement object to obtain a measurement resu or if it is determined, based on the first indication, that measurement needs to be performed, determining a measurement object based on the first indication, and performing measurement on the measurement object to obtain a measurement result.
