The present invention relates to a method for increasing the shading surface projected on the ground by several separate environmental energy capture elements, fixed to a structure, on a public reception area equipped with connected street furniture elements for charging electrical devices. The method according to the invention is intended to protect the users of the site from the heat of direct solar radiation, for the hottest hours of the day, to offer them the best comfort and make their visit more pleasant. The process optimizes the position of the energy sensors, individually and independently of each other, in order to shade the connected street furniture elements satisfactorily, within the public reception area.
