The present invention discloses a system and method for a modified chess game (100) comprising a chess board (102) with twelve rows and columns. Further, the modified chess game (104) allows a first player and a second player to use at least 1 king, 1 queen, 2 rooks, 2 bishops, 2 knights, and 8 pawns, each. The first player and the second player may determine the position of each chess piece (104) on the chess board (102). Further, the modified chess game (100) comprises a screen (302) to prevent each player from seeing the initial positioning of the other player. Additionally, the players may create a predefined setup of positions of the chess pieces (104) of each player.
