The invention concerns a procedure (500) for determining a time interval (d) between a reference point (t) of a first signal (125, 135) and a reference point (t) of a second signal (155). The procedure (500) consists of a reading step (510) of the first signal (125, 135) and the second signal (155),where the first signal (125, 135) reads a sequence of images (125, 135) recorded at different recording times (t) by an optical sensor (105) and the second signal (155) reads a sequence of one-dimensional measurement sizes (155), which have been detected at different detection times (t) by a measuring sensor (150), with the optical sensor (105) and the measuring sensor (155) positioned on a common mobile carrier platform (100). In addition, the process (500) includes a step of calculation (520) of first scaling parameters (s1),the scaling information between several images captured by the optical sensor (105) at different recording times (t1, t2, t3, t4) and assigned to a reference time (t) of the first signal (125, 135); and calculate second scaling parameters (s2) from the sequence of one-dimensional measurement sizes (155),whose reference points (t) are moved from the reference points (t) of the first signal (125, 135) according to a time parameter (D). The procedure also includes a step of comparison (530) of the calculated first scaling parameters (S1) with the second scaling parameters (S2) from the second signal (155). Finally, the procedure (500) includes a step of determining (540) the time parameter (D) as the time interval (d) between the first (125, 135) and the second signal (155),for which the highest conformity of the compared scaling parameters (S1, S2) was detected in step (530) of the comparison.
