The present invention comprises a digital projection system for projecting a first digitally defined pattern having a first resolution at a projection position, and a photomask system for projecting a second pattern having a second resolution, wherein the second and wherein the pattern and the first pattern are aligned with each other in the projection position, and wherein the photomask system provides at least one photomask between the digital projection system and the projection position. This provides a high-speed 3D printed assembly that allows for high-resolution details.
