Provided is a trolley comprising a platform mounted on an axle and two sub-frames C, D. Each sub-frame C, D is attached to the axle at its inner end; and is attached to caster wheels at its outer end. Each of the outer ends of the sub-frames C, D are connected to the platform by a suspension in the form of a hydraulic ram G, H, which may allow the platform to maintain a stable position when passing over bumps and undulating surfaces. The trolley may be configured such that the axle bears the majority of an applied load; for example, the axle may bear 50% of the applied load and each end of two sub-frames C, D may bear 25% of the applied load.
