PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce repetitive simple work of a worker at an observation site of an underground space such as a tunnel. SOLUTION: The cross-sectional shape acquisition method is to install targets 2, 4, and 6 at at least three points where the position coordinates in the tunnel are known, and to support a loading platform provided with a three-dimensional laser scanner (scanner) 20. A movable unmanned moving body (moving body) 10 equipped with a scanner and a control device for controlling the operation of the legs is moved in the tunnel by remote operation, and the moving body 10 moves in the tunnel. Obtained by creating a path that moves to pass through a preselected cross section in the sky, autonomously moving the moving body 10 along the created path, and having the scanner 20 scan targets 2, 4, and 6. When the current position of the scanner 20 is a predetermined position for the selected cross section, the scanner 20 is made to scan the inner wall surface, and the control device is made to acquire the shape of the selected cross section based on the scan result.
