To provide a work table and a dental treatment unit which enable an instrument to be returned in a holder easily and prevent a dental implement from touching an operator, and a method for using the work table.SOLUTION: A work table 7 includes instruments attached with dental implements and holders storing the instruments. A detector (shown as a metal sensor 8b) capable of detecting the mounting position of the dental implement of the instrument stored in the holder and an instrument rolling mechanism 20 rotating the instrument stored in the holder according to the detection result of the mounting position of the dental implement by the detector are included.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
