A power distribution cabinet with improved thermal characteristics for electrical engineering, comprising a cabinet body (1), wherein two limiting plates (9) distributed in parallel are welded on the inner wall of the bottom of the cabinet body (1), a same grid plate (3) is inserted between the two limiting plates (9), the top of the grid plate (3) is attached to the inner wall of the top of the cabinet body (1), a sponge sheet (8) is bonded to one side of the grid plate (3), a motor (6) is fixedly connected to the middle of one side of the cabinet body (1), the output end of the motor (6) is in transmission connection with a fan (7) by means of a coupler, the fan (7) is located inside the cabinet body (1), and the top of the side of the cabinet body (1) close to the motor (6) is connected to an air pump (5) by means of a bolt. The motor (6) drives the fan (7) to rotate to dissipate heat inside the cabinet body (1), and the air pump (5) pumps outside air into the cabinet body (1) by means of an air conveying pipe (4), thereby accelerating the air circulation inside the cabinet body (1) and optimizing the heat dissipation effect; and the sponge sheet (8) filters air flowing to components, thereby blocking dust or water mist in the air and guaranteeing the safe operation of the components.
