Disclosed are an apparatus and method for predicting an emergency mental state. An emergency mental state prediction device according to an embodiment includes a mental state basic information collection unit that collects basic mental state information from at least one of a biosensor, a device for managing examination information of a mental state, and a device for managing a patient’s medical history and a mental state modeling unit that models a mental state as a non-continuous set of objective mental states using basic information of the mental state, and a mental state sequence that generates a mental state sequence for psychiatric treatment based on the mental state modeling results. It includes a mental state sequence generation unit and an emergency mental state prediction unit for predicting whether an emergency mental state is an emergency based on the mental state sequence.
