FIELD: nuclear technology.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear technology and can be used as nuclear fuel in manufacture of fuel elements for thermal reactors of WWER type. The uranium-based alloy contains, by wt %: silicon 2.0-7.0, aluminum 0.1-2.0, at least one element selected from the group: carbon 0.15-2.0, oxygen 0.15-2.0, nitrogen 0.15-1.0, and uranium - the rest.
