The present invention relates to a cuff (1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6) of artificial urethral sphincter comprising: an inflatable chamber (10) comprising a pair of opposite main walls (11, 13) and two side walls (15), wherein first end portions (11a, 13a, 15a) of the main walls (11, 13) and side walls (15) form a first end (16) of the inflatable chamber (10) and second end portions (11b, 13b, 15b) of the main walls (11, 13) and side walls (15) forma second end (17) of the inflatable chamber (10) opposite the first end (16), a constraint arrangement (30) comprising a pair of matching fastening elements (31; 33) formed at the opposite ends (16, 17) of the inflatable chamber (10), said constraint arrangement (30) being capable of maintaining the cuff (1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6) in a closed configuration when the fastening elements are engaged with each other, and allowing an open configuration of the cuff (1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6) when the fastening elements (31, 33) are disengaged. Specifically, in the closed configuration of the cuff (1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6), opposite ends (16, 17) of the inflatable chamber (10) are in contact with each other, and an inner main wall (11) of said pair of main walls (11, 13) of the inflatable chamber (10) defines an annular contact surface configured to contact a portion of a urethral duct, and in the open configuration, opposite ends (16, 17) of the inflatable chamber (10) are spaced apart one from the other. Advantageously, said main walls (11, 13) have membrane stiffness greater than the membrane stiffness of the side walls (15). This ensures that the side walls (15) undergo a greater deformation than the main walls (11, 13) during an inflation of the inflatable chamber (10) while maintaining uniform the annular contact surface defined by the inner main wall (11).
