VOLTAGE CONTROL METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FUELCELL

A fuel cell voltage control method and system capable of ensuring durability and performance of individual cells of a fuel cell stack are introduced. The fuel cell voltage control method includes the steps of determining whether a high voltage avoidance mode of a fuel cell is applied; controlling the fuel cell stack voltage to be less than or equal to a preset reference value when the high voltage avoidance mode of the fuel cell is applied; monitoring an individual cell voltage of the fuel cell and determining whether a maximum value of the monitored individual cell voltage exceeds a predetermined individual value; reducing the reference value of the fuel cell stack voltage when the maximum value of the monitored individual cell voltage exceeds the individual value; and controlling the fuel cell stack voltage to be less than or equal to the reduced reference value.
