The method for securing program safety of an HVDC system according to the present invention comprises the steps of calculating a unique value of a BIOS program after loading a BIOS in a controller of the HVDC system when power is applied; receiving, by the controller, the bios program eigenvalue of the controller; and comparing the bios program eigenvalue calculated by the controller with the bios program eigenvalue pre-stored in the upper system to check whether they match. and notifying the upper system of whether the eigenvalues are inconsistent or not.
