A method and apparatus for estimating the height of a building using an aerial photograph and street image analysis based on artificial intelligence object recognition are disclosed. A building height estimation method according to an embodiment of the present invention is a building height estimation method based on artificial intelligence object recognition, the method comprising: analyzing an aerial photograph of a target area and detecting at least one target building included in the aerial photograph; receiving a street image corresponding to the location information based on the detected location information of the target building; analyzing the street image to detect the target building from the street image; and detecting a preset object in the target building, and classifying the relative height of each target building based on coordinate information and quantity information of the detected object.
