Client devices can determine multiple training samples according to recognition results for multiple data flows to train an application recognition model using the training samples; next, the client devices may upload to a server the model data of the trained application recognition model, and the server performs a joint update according to the model data uploaded by multiple client devices; then, the client devices may obtain a jointly updated application recognition model according to the jointly updated model data sent from the server. It can be seen that the jointly updated application recognition model can be said to be updated according to the characteristics of the real-time data flows collected by multiple client devices, such that even if an application is updated or other new applications appear, the recognition accuracy of the application recognition model can be guaranteed.
