A system and a method for monitoring mother-to-infant flora transmission, the method comprising: assigning intestinal flora of a pregnant woman and a neonate into a healthy group, a missing flora group, and a pathogenic flora group by means of a pregnant woman flora monitoring and assessment subsystem and a neonate flora monitoring and assessment subsystem; performing standardized management on the mother-to-infant transmission of flora; and performing effective follow-up management on the intestinal flora of the pregnant woman and the neonate by means of flora assessment, so as to provide important data support for individual nutrition advice and health management.
