An electronic device according to various embodiments may comprise: a wireless charging circuit for providing power to an external electronic device; and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: check whether a first condition related to whether a user input on a first surface of the electronic device has occurred is satisfied, wherein the intensity of the power on the first surface, which is generated by the wireless charging circuit, is larger than that on a second surface, which is the remaining surface other than the first surface of the electronic device; check whether a second condition related to a direction which the first surface faces is satisfied; and on the basis that the first condition and the second condition are satisfied, control the wireless charging circuit to perform at least one operation configured to provide power to the external electronic device.
