To provide a directional electromagnetic steel sheet low in degradation degree of magnetic properties and excellent in adhesiveness of a primary coating film, a steel sheet for finish annealing, an annealing separation agent and also to provide a production method for the directional electromagnetic steel sheet and a production method for the steel sheet for finish annealing.SOLUTION: A directional electromagnetic steel sheet is characterized in that the steel sheet comprises a base material steel sheet and a primary coating film including prescribed chemical components; an average value H1 of distance from H0 to the end face of a fitted oxide layer area is in a range of 0.40-2.00 μm in an irregularity distribution chart of the primary coating film in an interface between the primary coating film and the base material steel sheet which is obtained by projection on a face parallel to a face where the base material steel sheet and the primary coating film are laminated when a direction heading for the base material steel sheet from the primary coating film is defined as a normal direction, a middle position of an interface position of the primary coating film and the base material steel sheet is defined as H0, and an area in which the primary coating film exists at the normal direction side of H0 is defined as a fitted oxide layer area; and surface roughness Ra of the primary coating film on the interface between the primary coating film and the base material steel sheet is in a range of 0.30-4.00 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
