Disclosed are a global server load balancer device and a dynamic cache validity period control method in the device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a global server load balancer apparatus for performing load balancing between a plurality of local servers, comprising: a DNS query processing unit receiving a query message from a DNS server; a server selection unit that selects one of the plurality of local servers when the query message is received; a load calculation unit that collects status information of the global server load balancer device and calculates a load amount of the global server load balancer device from the collected status information; and a cache validity period controller for updating the TTL of the global server load balancer device according to the calculated load amount.
