Upwards open filing cabinets (1) with a front wall (3),the one opening (6),has a back plate (7) on the back and a front plate (8) on the front of the front wall (3) and a lever lock (10),through an opening (15) of the front plate (8),through the opening (6) of the front wall (3) and through an opening of the rear plate (7), with the rear plate (7) and the front plate (8) through a lock nut (16),which is bolted from the inside of the filing cabinet (1) to a thread of the lever lock (10), are fixed to the front wall (3), with a lock lever (11) of the lever lock (10) between a release position in which the lock lever (11) does not appear from the top of the filing cabinet (1) and a locking position, in which the locking lever (11) from the top of the filing cabinet (1) is rotatable.
