According to the invention, a method of manufacturing a batch of watch balance springs, the elastic torques of which have an average in a predetermined range, comprises steps in which: d) in a wafer made of a silicon-based material, it is produced the watch springs with dimensions greater than the dimensions necessary for obtaining the batch of watch springs the elastic torques of which have the average in the predetermined range, w) several or all of the watch springs are subjected to a first oxidation so as to be transformed in watch springs oxidized superficially, each in a zone where, from the silicon-based material, the first oxidation creates a thermal compensation portion (50'a) to modify the sensitivity to temperature variations of the elastic torque of the corresponding watch balance, draws) from at least one measurement on at least part of the oxidized watch balance springs, the quantity of material based on of silicon to be removed from the oxidized watch balance springs, to obtain the batch of watch balance springs having the elastic torques the average of which is in the predetermined range, x) of the thermal compensation portion (50'a) of several or all of the balance springs watchmakers, a residual thickness is removed which corresponds to the quantity of silicon-based material to be removed, then several or all of the oxidized watch springs are subjected to a second oxidation such that the thermal compensation portion is regenerated.
