System and method for large-scale parallel combinatorial analysis of single cells

Problem to be solved: to provide a method for parallel evaluation of multiple functional nucleic acids in individual cells or cell populations in situations of incubation with other types of single cells.Solution provides simultaneous measurement of polynucleic acids derived from a small population of at least two different cell types such that the function in one cell type is associated with the clonal identity of another cell.The method simultaneously processes tens of thousands, millions, or more than one single or small cell population.The method integrates a molecular approach, an algorithmic approach, and an operational approach.The method has extensive and useful applications in many fields of biology and medicine, including immunology and drug discovery.Diagram
