PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric material which is small in load on the environmental, and achieves both of a high piezoelectric constant and a high mechanical quality coefficient.;SOLUTION: A piezoelectric material of a perovskite structure comprises a primary component including a metal oxide represented by a general formula (1), Bi, and Mn. In the piezoelectric material, the content of Bi is 0.1-0.5 mol% to one mole of the metal oxide; and the content of Mn is 0.3-1.5 mol% to one mole of the metal oxide. When in a perovskite unit lattice, the distances of 12 kinds of Bi-O bonds using, as an origin, Bi atoms dodecacoordinated to O are L1 to L12 in descending order, the following expressions are satisfied: (L4-L5)/L5≥0.05; and (L8-L9)/L9≥0.05.
