To provide a signal transmission cable capable of suppressing a gap between an insulator layer and a plating layer, a multicore cable, and a manufacturing method of the signal transmission cable.SOLUTION: A signal transmission cable has a signal line, an insulator layer coating around the signal line, and a plating layer coating the insulator layer. Arithmetic average roughness Ra in an outer peripheral surface of the insulator layer is 0.6 μm to 10 μm. A manufacturing method of the signal transmission cable is a method of conducting a dry ice blast treatment on the outer periphery surface of the insulator layer, then conducting a corona discharge exposure treatment on the outer periphery surface, then forming the plating layer on the outer periphery surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
