PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of producing and storing stem cells in a timely manner at low cost and with a high degree of quality control while preventing contamination thereof.SOLUTION: The stem cell production system 100 for producing stem cells from somatic cells comprises: one or a plurality of closed type production devices 101 for producing stem cells from somatic cells; one or a plurality of drive devices 130 connected to the production devices 101 for driving the production devices 101 so as to maintain an environment suitable for the production of stem cells; one or a plurality of storage devices 120 for refrigeration storage of the produced stem cells; first memory devices 131, 146, 161 for storing, as a first state, whether or not a somatic cell has been introduced into the production device 101; second memory devices 131, 146, 161 for storing, as a second state, whether or not the drive device 130 is connected to the production device 101; and third memory devices 122, 131, 146, 161 for storing, as a third state, whether or not the produced stem cells can be put into the storage device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
