The present invention relates to a vehicle-pedestrian collision risk region calculation method and safety evaluation system. The vehicle-pedestrian collision risk region determination method comprises: detecting and outputting vehicle information and pedestrian information; determining whether a pedestrian has noticed the vehicle; under the conditions that the pedestrian takes an active avoidance behavior and the pedestrian does not take the active avoidance behavior, respectively further assuming whether the vehicle takes an immediate response action; and determining the vehicle-pedestrian collision risk region according to the determination result of whether the pedestrian takes the active avoidance behavior and the hypothesis result of whether the vehicle takes the immediate response action. According to the vehicle-pedestrian collision risk region determination method in the present invention, the active avoidance capability of the pedestrian and the immediate response action of the vehicle are considered at the same time, so that the identification of the collision risk between the vehicle and the pedestrian is more sufficient. In the present invention, the determination of an effective collision risk region can effectively improve the pedestrian safety and the vehicle driving comfort in the interaction process of the vehicle and the pedestrian.
