The present application relates to the technical field of wireless networks, and relates in particular to a method and device for device connection on the basis of a neighborhood aware network. The method comprises: receiving a first broadcast message from a second device; receiving a second broadcast message from a third device; determining the second device as a target device; when the number of available Wi Fi connections of the second device is not greater than zero and the second device is not a device connected to a first device by means of Wi-Fi, determining, according to connected device information in the second broadcast message and available Wi-Fi connection information in a third broadcast message, that the third device belongs to devices connected to the second device by means of Wi-Fi and the number of available Wi-Fi connections is greater than zero; establishing a Wi-Fi link between the first device and the third device; and sending to the third device a first message the destination of which is the second device, so that the third device forwards the first message to the second device by means of the third device. The described aspect can quickly establish a multi-hop connection with a target device when the target device cannot be connected to directly by means of Wi-Fi.
