The monitoring device (100) comprises: a sensor interface (101), a controller (102), a switch assembly (103) and a monitoring assembly (104), wherein the sensor interface (101) is electrically connected to the monitoring assembly (104) and the switch assembly (103), and the sensor interface (101) is configured to be connected to a sensor (203); the controller (102) is connected to the sensor interface (101) by means of the monitoring assembly (104) and the switch assembly (103), which are connected in parallel; the monitoring assembly (104) is configured to transfer monitoring information to the controller (102) in the case where the sensor interface (101) is monitored and found to be to be connected to the sensor (203); and the controller (102) is configured to control the on-off state of a switch in the switch assembly (103) according to the monitoring information sent by the monitoring assembly (104), so as to selectively switch on a specified sensor (203) among the connected sensors (203) and obtain sensing information of the specified sensor (203).
