The invention relates to a breathing-protection half mask as a mouth-nose protection, comprising a mask, which covers the mouth and nose region of the wearer when used, and securing means for securing the mask to the head of the wearer. The securing means is designed as an adhesive securing means arranged on the inner surface of the upper mask region. According to the invention, the mask is made of a mask body (1) which is formed with a curved shape from a flat mask material by pre-cutting and joining together cut edges (S), the outer edge (R) of said mask body forming a contoured contact section which surrounds the mouth and nose region when used, wherein a central joining line (2) of two cut edges (S) joined together in an upper mask region runs from the uppermost edge section in the direction of a central mask region, and two lateral joining lines (3) run from a lower edge section in the direction of the central mask region. The invention allows a breathing-protection half mask to be utilized for everyday use in a hygienic manner and with a high degree of wearing comfort even over a long wearing duration.
