The invention relates to a holder system (1) and a vertical greening system (28) for vertical greening of a wall. In order to advantageously develop conventional holders that are suitable or intended for vertical greening systems, it is proposed that the holder system (1) have at least one holder base (2) for mounting on a wall and at least one first holder arm (3), the holder base (2) and the first holder arm (3) are separate components which can be releasably or firmly connected to one another to form a holder (6). For an advantageous further development of vertical greening systems (28) it is proposed that these comprise at least one support device (29) and a mounting system (1) according to the invention.
