To provide a head/branch office journal input device that includes an input simplification function for accounting registration operations of head/branch office and a search simplification function capable of simplifying search and confirmation of slips in check operations of journal slips.SOLUTION: A control unit 102 of a head/branch office journal input device 100 includes: a setting unit 102a for setting a head/branch office account associated with a head office and branches; a journal registration unit 102b for performing registration using the head/branch office account where the exchange journal between the head office and branches or branches is set in debit and credit of head/branch office journal input; an authentication processing unit 102c for performing approval processing of journal slips of the registered exchange journal; and an update processing unit 102d for performing update by assuming that the exchange source journal slip of the exchange journal is not approved when it is not approved and that the exchange source journal slip is approved when it is approved. The update processing unit 102d performs update processing of an exchange destination journal slip corresponding to it as being approved when the exchange source journal slip is approved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
